Petah Tikva – Court Upholds Plea Bargain for Officials over Toxic Baby Formula

    photo ilustrationPetah Tikva – The Magistrates Court upheld the plea bargain of five Health Ministry supervisors who were charged with introducing a toxic baby formula, “Vegetable Remedy,” to Israel in 2003, Army Radio reported Sunday.

    The formula resulted in the deaths of 4 infants and 10 toddlers were seriously injured in their nervous systems.

    According to the settlement, the defendants were convicted of negligence in distributing the formula, but were not convicted of a criminal offense.

    The ex-ministry officials will be forced to serve 400 hours each of community service.

    seems they got off to easy how is that 4 death only equals community service?
