Kuwait City, Kuwait – An Arab school teacher in Kuwait was sacked after she rebuked two quarrelling students by saying they should follow the Jews’ example and respect each other, a newspaper in the oil-rich Gulf country reported on Sunday.

The unnamed teacher had already triggered controversy inside the school management when she reprimanded a school girl for shouting at a female cleaner working at the school, saying the cleaner must be respected as she belongs to a more civilized and technologically advanced country and that she could be “considered by our Lord as a better person.”
Alanba newspaper reports “After a few days, that teacher saw two school boys quarrelling…she stopped them and told them they must respect and love each other in line with our Islamic principles…she told them :’If the Jews respect each other, why can’t we learn from our Prophet (peace be upon him) and respect each other,” the paper said.
“She was asked by the head mistress to sign a report saying that she told the two students that the Jews are better than us…she refused to sign it…after a few days, the ministry of education sent her a sacking letter…the ministry refused to consider her appeals to restore her.”
She should be teaching in this Arab school here…she might teach those animals some sense.

I don’t think that she was saying that the Jews are better than the Arabs. I think that what she was saying that if even the Jews can get along, then she believed that 2 Arabs should get along (kal v’chomer).
The teacher has quite obviously never read the comments that people post on VIN!!
