A conservative website that last week started a furor over a lewd photo sent from Weiner’s Twitter account posted new photos.

In a strange turn before Weiner’s planned news conference, Breitbart took to the podium, defending the accuracy of his posts and saying his reputation was being smeared by the congressman.

Weiner had earlier said of the photo that his Twitter account was hacked and that he’d hired a lawyer and a private security firm to get to investigate the incident involving the shot.

Weiner, 46, married Hillary Rodham Clinton aide Huma Abedin last July, with former President Bill Clinton officiating. Before that, Weiner had been known as one of New York’s most eligible bachelors.

Weiner began his career as a legislative assistant to then-Rep. Chuck Schumer, who is now the state’s senior senator. He was elected to the New York City Council before winning Schumer’s House seat in 1998, representing parts of Brooklyn and Queens.

He gained a national profile during the debate over President Barack Obama’s health care plan when he outspokenly professed support for a government-run “single-payer” program for everyone and later a “public option” to compete with private health insurance. He got the notice of liberals even though both proposals failed to make it into law.

“I cannot say with certitude”. That phrase will live on beyond his career.

We elected him to use his judgement correctly. If this is the best that he can do, I would rather have someone else.

I know he was supposedly pro Israel, but on most other issues he held positions contrary to mine. I think he should stay in office. That way he will be defeated at the next election and maybe New Yorkers will elect someone with some morals and pride.

Again the herofication of our Democrat politicians, especially if they’re from New York. This is no kid. He’s married. Why the herofication – treat him like a Republican and skewer him. Or – stick a fork in him, he’s done.

Even the liberals (including Chris Matthews) knew something didn’t smell right about this story from day 1.

Look, I’m sure it was meant to be a private thing between 2 consenting adults.

That being said, I would have had FAR More respect for the guy if he had just admitted that he was doing some “private chatting” with a girl he met online and it wasn’t for public consumption rather than lying about the issue.

While Andrew Breitbart was right on this one, he should not pat himself on the back too much. A small handful of truths among in 100s of filthy lies does not make him any more of a legitimate journalist than the Pope saying “Shalom” makes him Jewish.

What is it with the politicians in this state?!? Before this there was the “topless wonder” from the 26th CD upstate advertising on Craigslist; Paterson admitted to cheating on the wife…and of course, the infamous Eliot Spitzer! (Of course with Cuomo, he just admits living with the girlfriend rather than make an honest woman of her).

To those who thought my earlier comment (where I predicted this was coming) was lashon hora, let me just say, “ha ha ha.” You never go wrong thinking the worst about a NY pol. In fact, just as I was typing this, it came up that he had been sending his home made porn to six different women…none of whom, was his wife!

I, as a voter, am thoroughly tired of watching our elected officials get caught with all sorts of violations of basic morals, then lying about it to the press and public, and finally when caught beyond the limits, confessing about the lies. Nixon was one of the brave ones in resigning. This guy is apparently conceited enough to feel he still has enough values to represent us in Congress.

We need to begin a new political party or movement in which honesty is so impeccable that there is zero tolerance for anything else. Too much is done to permit indulgences in all the vices, then having to worry about when someone has gone too far. Our tendencies to liberalism threw morality out the window, and we are desperately in need of the move to regain it.

Poor guy. Leave him alone. Get out of his twitter account. It is nobody’s business what he’s doing online.
    Nothing he did was illegal.

Wow! Finally a politician that tells the truth!! Even though it is about a previous lie..

Even if his actions weren’t technically illegal, he should resign, as we expect that are politicians are held to a higher moral, and ethical standard.

The voters of New York should finally learn a lesson from this and stop voting these socialist liberal politicians into office. First it’s Spitzer now it’s Weiner, enough is enough vote them out of power before it’s too late!!!!!!

#4 : “You never go wrong thinking the worst about a NY pol.”

I remember one who actually earned my respect. Otis Pike was a nine-term Congressman from Long Island who did good things for his constituents and never got caught with his pants down. He was probably as human as you or I, but he always understood whom he was working for.

Pike is almost 90 now and long since retired. They just don’t make ’em like that anymore.

Why in the world is this trouble maker (nice title…) not resigning? Didn’t a upstate rep resign severalweeks ago for “exact” the same scandle? Yes! He was a republican! That’s why he had no option, so Shaigetz’el Wiener please step down! Even though you are a liberal dem! Time to leave! See ya dilivering orders for a local supermarket in queens neighborhood…. (Or maybe in Egypt, Siria, etc from wherever his muslim wife comes) bye!

These are the types of people that the askanim and rebbeim stumble over each other to have their photos taken with and to fawn over.

I don’t want to see any more photos of our leadership mollycoddling any politicians at their dinners and house parties.
