Democrats Brian Higgins and Kathy Hochul (HOH’-kuhl) say they’ll announce plans Friday to introduce two pieces of legislation.

Higgins and Hochul are cosponsoring the bills they say will make the documents more affordable. Their constituents need passports now more than ever because of stricter document requirements for travelers crossing the U.S.-Canadian border.

Both members of Congress serve on the Homeland Security Committee.

There are four border crossings in their western New York area.

Do these reps know that for $55 you can get a “Passport Card” good for ground and sea passage to and from Canada, Mexico and the Carribean? For the cost of a driver’s license renewal you can get passage and it’s good for 10 years.

Like with another NY representative, whiners are wieners…
