Kosher products maker Manischewitz rolled it out Tuesday to celebrate the opening of its new corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant in Newark.

The enormous piece of unleavened bread measured 25 feet 1 inch long and 41½ inches wide and weighed about 25 pounds. That’s the equivalent of more than 330 regular matzos.

A chief rabbi from Israel offered a blessing before the matzo was divvied up and distributed to guests at the event.

The Manischewitz Company is the world leader in matzo production. It also was celebrating the opening of a 200,000 square-foot warehouse in Mount Olive.

The first matzah off the line is the one pictured in the article – the second one measured over 26 feet – so the “little people” got the record breaker! Hmmm, sounds vaguely familiar. We were there and it was delightful.

Sounds like paid PR and probably photo ops for government officials that helped pay for the plant. just my guess. You will never get a break on prices because of any Government grants, of course. Personally, I find Israeli Matzohs better.
