During a closed meeting of the Conference of Presidents of major Jewish American Organizations in New York, Prosor said that talk was not enough at such a crucial time, and that the U.S. Jewish community must prepare a clear operational plan.

Amazing that when they are desperate they reach out to the jewish vote, but when religious issues come up, they stress that they are a democracy with no official religion. You can’t have it both ways.

What steps is he suggesting the American Jewish community take? If there is a vote in the General Assembly, we have no veto rights and its majority rule. I have no doubt that such a vote will favor the Palestinian position. What do they suggest the U.S. should do in that case, especially if EY has not made any further progress with the negotiations on a long-term peace agreement and continues to expand the West Bank settlements.
