Below was posted before it was removed:

Jews and Israelis, or passengers carrying any non-Islamic article of faith, will not be able to fly Delta Air Lines flights from the U.S. to Saudi Arabia under Delta’s new partnership with Saudi Arabian Airlines.

Although Delta announced in January that the Saudi airline would join its SkyTeam network next year, the implications of the deal only came to light recently, according to people who have scrutinized the details.

Saudi Arabia, which is governed by strict Islamic law, requires citizens of almost every country to obtain a visa. People who wish to enter the country must have a sponsor; women, who must be dressed according to Saudi standards of modesty, must be met at the Saudi airport by a man who will act as a chaperone.

Saudi Arabia bans anyone with an Israeli stamp in their passport from entering the country, even in transit. Many Jews believe the kingdom has also withheld visas from travelers with Jewish-sounding names.

Religious items such as Bibles that are not related to Islam may be confiscated at the airport.

Well folks, its time to roll out the “do unto others” rule.Lets stop using Delta for flights where there is a choice.Especially to Israel.I realy wonder how many of us would be willing to pay a little more maybe, and choose another airline when possible.Lets protest with our wallets.Maybe we dont have as much money to spend as the saudis do

Boycott Delta there are other airlines let them allow the suicide bombers on their flights. I have no problem with flying without any arabs on my flight.

We must let Delta know that this is not acceptable.

Contact Delta and let them know of our disapproval
    Call them at : 1-404-773-0305
If anybody has an email address please post it.

Seems to me this runs afoul of US laws regarding support of the Arab boycott. At the very least Delta should be blocked for any US gov’t travel vouchers,,,

As someone who would fly delta domestically, as much as I agree that which sane person would want to go to Saudi Arabia, after all they will kill you, I am disappointed with this being an official policy.

What happens on a domestic code share flight, do the Arabs yemach sh’mom have jurisdiction on those too?

Ah yes the same airline that refused to fly with Muslims aboard a few months ago, I am guessing the pilots of that flight will not be asked to do the Saudi route

It’s a funny story – and not for here. In my previous non-frum life, I spent over two years in Saudi Arabia as a teacher with a branch of the Saudi military. I remember meeting a Rav from Yerushalayim who was there as “a social worker” among the US troops during Desert Storm. We shared part of a Friday night together. So – just because they say Jews can’t go doesn’t mean they don’t go. I did bring Bibles in. I remember once a customs guy held one up – couldn’t read the Hebrew and put it back down. It’s not a place for Jews, of course. But this Jew is glad for the experience – like getting rid of shekels in the plane’s bathroom which I’d forgotten I had on a trip from Dhahran – – Cairo – – London — Cairo – – Tel Aviv – – Cairo – – Dhahran. I’m sure this happens more often than we know.

#12 – Is the country. The only thing in this article that mentioned that this came from Delta was the title. Haha, the title was made up by this jewish news site. One guy canceled his sky miles b/c of it. Why dont ppl learn to read!

Just another example of corporate pursuit of profits. Disgusting.

I have a question for you all. The same policy banning Jews includes Homosexuals. How many here have posted against suppression of Homosexuals in parts of the Islamic world?

    Or is there a difference?

Delta is simply following the rules of the country, not making up the rules. U.S. airlines flying to EY must obey the rules set by the Israeli security agencies which often includes not allowing individuals with no criminal or terrorist history to be denied entry without explaination. They have also confiscated X’tian evangelical materials that seem to be targeted at Jews in israel. Bottom line is that you follow the rules of the country if you want to do business in that country.

The issue is not so much the Saudi’s policy, they will not change. The main problem is that Delta is actively participating in enforcing their judenrein policy.

what will the stewardesses wear on the flight? burkas? will they be able to fly alone on a flight? will they have wider aisles to accomodate the rolled carpets?

If Delta stands by this story, then Israel needs to revoke Delta’s landing rights at Ben Gurion. In addition, every single Jew worldwide should boycott Delta.
