One New Yorker is focusing his lens a little higher – on the sky.
Mike Bodge, 29, is the creator of NSKYC, a website which documents the color of the New York City sky – along with a photo of the skyline above the East Village and Noho – every five minutes.
“I wrote a program that runs on my computer that hooks up to an HD webcam I have shooting out the window,” said Bodge, who runs the digital agency Lolz LLC. The camera “automatically takes the photo every five minutes and uploads it to a server that analyzes the color of every pixel in the sky. It then does an average of those values and comes out with the result.”
