New Jersey – Gov. Chris Christie says he won’t sign a bill allowing gay marriage in New Jersey like Gov. Andrew Cuomo did in neighboring New York.

Christie appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, days after Cuomo signed a bill legalizing same-sex marriage in New York. Christie told host David Gregory that New Jersey will “continue to pursue civil unions.”

The Republican governor also discussed President Barack Obama’s plan to pull troops from Afghanistan and his decision to release 30 million barrels of oil from U.S. emergency reserves.

Christie declined to comment on the troop withdrawal, noting that Obama had more knowledge on the situation.

But he expressed concern about the oil release, saying it could be viewed as a political move.

Christie will “continue to pursue civil unions.”
Assuming these civil unions will afford NJ same sex couples the same rights as NY same sex couples, then basically this entire vote in the senate and the passionate comments on every news article blasting Cuomo were basically arguing against calling these unions “marriage”
Who really cares if we call it “marriage” or a union. Either way, same sex couples would get equal rights. Why do they want the word “marriage” so badly and why do we mind giving it to them????
This question has been bothering me for a while

Can someone please remind me again why we give a darn if someone decides to marry another man. How exactly does this affect us? Please dont use the “it’s the taxpayers money” card, because why are you not as opinionated about other matters that affect your tax contributions.

Notice how conservatives like Christy continue to uphold values that match those of Yiddishkeit. Only those of us who, for whatever reason, affiliate with the hard left, will continue to vote Democrat, at least for national races.

One of the first things Cristie did as governor was veto same-sex marriage bill. Way to go Christie!!

The following is a response that I sent to the Jerusalem Post in regard to article about same=gender unions:

“Every person educated in the Natural Sciences understands that every animal species higher than the amoeba performs sexual reproduction, and this is the Almighty’s plan to propagate the species and continue the natural world. It would follow, therefore, that a permanent union of same-gender humans would be diametrically opposed to the laws of nature, and be self-defeating. Mankind, which is supposed to be the most intelligent of the animals, by endorsing same-gender relationships, shows itself to be the least intelligent of all species! (This is in addition to the religious prohibitions of such unions!)”
