Following the levaya in Cleveland, the aron was flown on a private plane to Monmouth Executive Airport located in Belmar, New Jersey, after which it was brought to Beis Medrash Govoha in Lakewood for a 2 PM levaya.
A crowd of approximately 20,000 were in attendance with hespedim delivered by Roshei Yeshiva of Beis Medrash Govoha, Rav Malkiel Kotler and Rav Yeruchim Olshin, the Novominsker Rebbe, R’ Dovid Goldberg – Cleveland, R’ Yitzchok Sorotzkin, a former Rosh Yeshiva at the Telshe Yeshiva and R’ Avrohom Ausband, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Telshe Alumni of Riverdale.
Thousands of people lined the streets of Lakewood, from the yeshiva until County Line Road, with extremely tight security provided by the Lakewood Police Department which provided both officers on the ground and snipers on rooftops.
Following the conclusion of the levaya at 4 PM, the aron was taken to JFK International Airport for a 7 PM flight. A funeral will be held on Friday in Israel with kevurah to take place on Har Hamenuchos.
