William Daley said the U.S. relationship with Pakistan is “difficult” and must be made “to work over time.” But he told ABC television’s “This Week” that until “we get through that difficulty, we’ll hold back some of the money that the American taxpayers are committed to give” the U.S. ally.

Mr. Daley says the countries are trying to work through issues that have strained ties.

The New York Times reported that the U.S. is upset with Pakistan for expelling American military trainers and wants tougher action against the Taliban and others fighting American soldiers in Afghanistan.

Tensions between the countries have surged since U.S. forces killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan in May.

Finally some sense. As though harbouring the taliban, Bin landen and blowing up a Chabad house wasnt enough ‘evidence’.

What the heck do the Pakistanis think they’ve been getting U.S. military aid money for anyway? They protected bin Laden against us using our own money! If they’re not going to help fight against the Taliban both in their own backyard and in Afghanistan then they’re useless and we can put that $800 million to better use.

So, Pakistan is obstructing America’s ability to continue the war against terror. And this is good enough reason to suspend aid. Hmmm…..

Meanwhile, America continues to pump millions into the Palestinian Authority for “humanitarian aid” when they ARE part of the terror! Someone speak with forked tongue.

Hopefully, the US can use some of the $800 M to fund the cleanup of Usama bin Laden’s successor and his henchmen.

The fact that obama still considers them an ally, & is only suspending “some” aid, means we can be sure the aid will soon be restored & we’ll be told they’re back to helping us fight the terrorists. oh I forgot-obama doesn’t refer to them as terrorists.

Pakistan is indeed an ally. Just an uncooperative and likely bad ally over all.
