Aron was working as a clerk in a hardware store near his home. Fellow co-workers at the hardware store said he came to work Tuesday, a day after the 8-year-old boy went missing. According to one of those employees, the suspect took part in prayers Tuesday, that Leiby would be found, a day after the boy went missing. He even corrected the pronunciation of the missing Leiby’s name when it was mispronounced during that prayer.

I saw the rotzeach’s facebook page. He is nothing but a sicko who also happens to be intrenched in pop culture. He might dress like a member of the community to fit in. But he is only playing the game. While this guy was evil to the core, I am certain that his ideas and actions didn’t come from learning about pilegesh bigiva. We wanted a melech like the goyim. And today many of us strive to be like a very immoral secular society. We always had sickos but they weren’t influenced as much by the secular society. This guy had the worst of both.
Unfortunately, I come accross many people that are frum in appearance alone. They have long ago left behind hashgafa and real tradition. They are the one/two generational transition to non-orthodox Judaism. That is the real reason for so many of the people that go off the derech today.

Just because a fraudster in jail says something does not make it true.

Levi Aron’s parents were not baalei tshuva. His father learned at Torah voDaas.

As for being more friendly to dangerous nuts, that is like taking tiger cubs home and keeping them as pets. We need to clean the meshuggeners out of our shuls, and get them into treatment far, far away from where they can do what this monster did.

The pictures on his FB profile show someone who was off the derech for at least a good part of the last few years. However, he clearly was not normal and it hardly matters what his level of observance is.

Someone needs to tell him there’s a difference between praying and preying.

Some one should at least try to explain to the media that altough he was jewish he was not observent. Some of the media outlets (cbs880 for example) made sure to say every time ” the murder was also ohrtodox” and Savage said he was hasidic… I know u can’t explain a goy too much but at least we should try to minimize the wide brush that they paint us with

I am concerned about vos iz neis continually labeling this dreadful individual a “butcher.” When he is convicted, we can call him a killer, but while an investigation is going on, he should be given some modicum of respect as a human being and accused.
