Manhattan, NY – Eight people were injured when an SUV crashed on the elevated portion of a Manhattan highway, flipped over a guardrail and landed on a taxi on the street below.

Police say the SUV was traveling south on the FDR Drive near East 23rd Street when it crashed at 3 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle flipped over the guard rail in the right-hand lane and fell onto the taxi, which was in the southbound service road.
Five women and two men who were in the SUV and the taxi driver were taken to Bellevue Hospital. A 29-year-old woman was listed in critical but stable condition. The others were in stable condition.
Police are still investigating.
Time for police to crack down on speeding SUV’s who try to bully everyone else on the road.
I saw the cars first hand as I went for a walk on Shabbos morning. I saw a cab and a pile of what used to be car. I am amazed that anyone was able to walk away from this accident.
And u guys driving below the speed limit in the left lane r just as well too blame
3:00 am on Saturday… most likely coming from a club and had a couple of drinks. I’m always nervous to be on the road on Motzei Shabbos.
