    I wish I lived in bermuda islands! (that’s probably where this bloomberg was till now! He should’ve offered something, (after all money means nothing when it’s by him. It’s only when it’s by someone else that he wants all of it). Perhaps there might’ve been a different outcome! (Naaa Just kidding, but where indeed was he till now?)

    this incident was upsetting to everyone. mayor Bloomberg is concerned with the negative publicity and he feels somehow responsible that this happened in “his city”. I don’t think his money is the issue, although he does have a lot of it.

    What is more interesting is the fact that most of you are judging people by their dress or what yesheiva they go to or what rabbi they follow. How about judging people by their medos? Do they steal, do they cheat, do they take WIC or welfare or medicaid while working and getting paid off the books. How do they treat their fellow Yid, are they respectful to their parents, are they respectful to their spouse. Have you ever met a Yid who is in modern dress and is bal medos & bal tzedakah and lives a proper Torah life and they are looked down upon as not being “frum”. What about shidduchim, what difference does it make what dress size the mother wears. More importantl question would be will the boy or girtl be good to my child, will they be able to support themselves, will they be able to contribute to the community, will they be respectful to us. These are infentiley more important questions one should be addressing rather than what is the mothers dress size and what type of kippa does a young man wear is it velvet or knitted. Let us always remember the adage There is a Yid without a beard & a beard without a Yid! May we be zocha to see the 3 weeks go by without further tragedy.

    Modernlakewood;

    I didnt get the impression that he/she was judging anyone!

    It seemed like a harmless comment at how ironic it was that a Non Jew was wearing a bigger kappel than aJew.

    Chill out!

    Both the Mayors Office and NYPD have been involved since the beginning. The Mayor spoke to their Rabbi on Tuesday, the family on Wednesday, put out a statement on the incident last week and paid his respects this week. kol hakovod
