    169

HaRav Yehuda Levin shlit”a is correct. We need the chizuk. And more importantly, we need to listen.

I had previously respected Rabbi Levin for his stance on gay marriage. However, his comments are abhorrent and insensitive.

I actually thought about this. We know that sodomist marriage led to Noah’s Flood, after which a rainbow appeared in the sky and Hakodesh Boruch Hu promsied never to destroy the world again.

Just before Leibby’s (z’l) Levaya,. there was a rain shower and then a rainbow visible in some places.

    R’ Levin is a true right-winger, B”H.

Rabbi Levin, you are truly an ill person. I know you from many years ago, and you’ve been saying insane and sick things for a long long time

please editors – remove this entire article. We don’t need non-Jews seeing this and thinking we’re crazy.

Rabbi Levin, did Hashem actually appear to you and tell you? I didn’t realize you were given Nevuah.

Outrage.. Unbelievable.. Is this the Fred Phelps of orthodox Judaism?.. Levy was not gay! The overall majority of child-abusers, murderers, rapists, are not gay.. No matter what your stance are on, homosexuality, same sex marriage, there is no way the gay community share any blame for this lunatic..

Shame on you. How dare you say something like that? You don’t know why Hashem did this, we don’t know why Hashem did this. But everybody that is looking for attention comes up with something silly like this or I Evan heard a rabbi say this came because we watch video and were on the internet). Stop with the non sense and don’t make Hashem look bad. Hashem doesn’t punish a little 8 year old boy because the state passed on gay marrige, nor doesn’t he punish a little 8 year old boy because people are on the internet. Stop the non sense already

He’s off his rocker I’m afraid, this is not the way in which Hashem Yisborach would have punished klal yisroel for this sin. He would NEVER have taken an innocent child from a frum family to punish the perverts of Klal Yisroel, it has NO relevance whatsoever and he should be ashamed of himself for suggesting it. The punishment for the liberalism will come but NOT this way.

I am quite torn about these words, but there is definitely a correlation between a tragedy and Hashem wanting us to do Teshuva, that is a clear Rambam, anyone who disagrees is considered a min! and there is NO question that the gay legislation does not bring beracha on this world! So yes, we are allowed to try and understand why a tragedy happened! Its called XHESHBON HANEFESH!

While Rabbi Levin may be right on his general agenda by himself he is acting like a real politician. Jumps on a tragedy to forward his own agenda.

Our generation has the zechus of having someone like Rabbi Yehudah Levin, who has ruach hakodesh and knows what is going on in shomayim.

He once said an interesting thing.

It’s more important to get politicians to fight the gay agenda,, then to lobby the politicians, to force the taxpayer, to pay for learning of Bochurum and Kollel.

He keeps on saying that our leaders are to much for the money.

I think it was because the mets traded k-rod

I find it interesting right after he was traded this happened.

just because two things happen in a close time span does not mean it was a cause and effect.

The frum world had little power to stop these laws, and sadly can’t change it.

VIN, please don’t quote these hurtful whackadoos. This guy can’t learn. What kind of Tzushtel is it to compare drunk driving after a chasunah causing a car accident to legalized gay marriage causing the actions of this rotzeach. The retrospection we have to have is how to stop this from happening through hishtadlus.

With all resepect to Levine…. How dare you say something like that?

We can hold Hakodosh Boruch Hu responsible for the all the bad and sad things that happened to yidden. And we can have tainois to him.

So too, we can hold Hakodosh Buruch Hu reponsible for the terrible tradgedy that happened to Leiby and his family…. This was such a terrible thing that happened, and hashem wants us to cry out to him with our complaints. Complaints and tefilos that the future should be better, and that chas v’sholom something like this should never happen again.

BUT HOW DARE YOU HAVE THE CHUTZPAH to publicly announce that “you, the big maven in g-dly things understand and have a reason for such a terrible thing”. How dare you?

Gay marriage is a sin in the torah. But dont go make a chulent with spicey kishkeh now. You are a publicity seeking person. You just went a step too far.

Please do teshuvah… Take back this terrible thing you said. We dont understand why this happened. And you, “rabbi” Levine are deffinitely not the one to find the “reason” for our tzorohs.

    b’surois toivois.
Do Teshuvah Now…. And publicly ask for an apology.

Woohoo!!! I never knew that we have so many people down here that know exactly what Hashem does, and why he does it!!! I just got a paper cut 2 hours ago, maybe someone can tell me why it happened…

On another note, for the sake of the poor family, can this matter please be put to rest?!?!?!? It’s starting to sound like everybody and their grandmother is trying to cash in on poor little Leiby…

Something of this magnitude and the cause can only be told to us by Gedolai Yisroel!

For the life of me I cannot see how this rabbi can connect these two things. His stance is absolutely ridiculous. It is the same as saying the earthquake in Haiti was caused by someone not giving tzedakah in New York.

Leiby was the son of a man and a women, not two men. Please don’t tell the parents that their son died because of a few votes in t

He has reached a new depth of vileness with his comments. This has nothing to do with being a conservative or a liberal, but with being a thinking, sentient being. Clearly when something like this happens, we all need to look inside ourselves to see how we can learn and grow on both individual and communal levels, but to villainize anyone besides the person who did the action is abhorrent.

I had no idea we had so many Nevi’im who can so easily explain to us why Hashem does things. We must live in really extraordinary times to have everyone from media seeking “Rabbis” to anonymous bloggers all gifted with Nevuah. Wow.

For some reason we were taught otherwise.
Yes we have to do Teshuva when one of us is hurtin but we are not in Shomayim to say what’s what and the reason behind it.
Let’s not forget that as much as we all hate same sex marriages as its against human nature its also not our job to fix the world…

He makes a lot of sense. Yes there will be those screaming don’t bring in the politics, how insensitive, but the truth of Torah is eternal and must be respected for a healthy family unit. The dynamics of the country changed when that law was stealthily passed. If there is something the tragic passing of Leibby the kadosh can teach us, it’s guard your souls. Those who voted for the pro-gay anti-Israel president – wake up and stand for morality.

This is disgusting. I am ashamed to read this article and some of the comments. How dare R levin say these words. Like he has direct access to gd to know why a child would be brutally killed this way? Do some of you realize how much this turns jewish people and youth away from judiasm, because of awful comments like this?
This is a hijacking of judiasm and a complete insult to our beautiful religion.

I think Hashem’s cheshbonos and the Jewish World is bigger than just the 1% frum Jews (who think the world revolves around them). And will all due respect to Harav Levin, there are many “upright” Jewish families that have lots of aggravation in spite of their impeccable ways….This is just one horrific story out of many in our community – we have sickness, death, abuse, crime – all the tzoros. Let’s put the blame squarely where it belongs – on the golus – and try to help people grow instead instead of making them feel bad with fire and brimstone accusations.

Nebach. This poor twisted Jew -all dressed up for the Russian winter-telling us what Hashem thinks. Why don’t guys like this ever know what Hashem has chosen for tomorrow’s lottery numbers? This isn’t about gay marriage laws or any other to’evah-related issue. This is about having the chutzpah to speak for Hashem, without being briefed in the Ohel Moed first.

IS EVERYONE CRAZY? Hashem, rachum v’chanun takes an 8 year old boy because of laws passed by a majority of goyim? This is Torah? Would any godol say such a thing? This is what we want the world to think of those who believe, despite unexplainable tragedies, in Hashem and his Torah? And you publish this garbage? And other wackos are either stupid enough, or evil enough, to think that they, and they alone, know the ratzon Hashem? Maybe we should be looking at ourselves and asking why we don’t give sick people the medical help they need–both the murderer and Levin

Effect: Holy Jewish child barbarically killed. Cause: Boro Park Jews didn’t protest secular law allowing gay marriage. Only a twisted sicko would use such a tragedy to advance his personal agenda. The comparison to the drunken Bochur could be shlugged-up easily. B’Kittzur, horrible, insane and not such a talmid chochom.

I think Rabbi Levin is against Gay Marriage, which I can understand, but don’t blame this on Gays. They had nothing to do with this. Levi Aron is not Gay.

He’s been quiet for a while, and now he comes up with this outrageous opinion. Does he think his a Navi or what? He’s a rav of an empty shul with only one item on his agenda. Has he ever spoken out about any other issue.. Sites posting his nonsense don’t give him credibility.
