The situation occurred at the Doris Dachs Bais Yaakov School, a private Jewish elementary school at 3200 W. Peterson Ave.
Albany Park District police officer said the pepper spray belonged to a teacher, but it was unclear who sprayed it or how it was activated. No one was hurt, according to the officer. "It was no big deal; it just went off," the officer said. "We asked for a level one because people were complaining about irritated eyes," Rosado said.
The school was evacuated but there were no reports of injuries. "We are monitoring the air," and an investigation is under way, Rosado said. [NBC5]
