    Manhattan, NY – The 10-year old son of a construction worker near Ground Zero, was hurt when he fell from a tower crane at the WTC site.

    Michael O'Brian a construction worker brought his son with out permission to the construction site at West Street and Vesey Street, where they are building the new headquarters of Goldman Sachs' in Battery Park City.

    O'Brian and his son climbed a ladder leading to the tower crane's elevated cab. Then, on their way down the ladder, the boy fell and slammed his head on a steel beam. He got transported to Bellevue Hospital where he was kept overnight.

    A spokesman for Tishman Construction Corp. said O'Brian was reprimanded but not fired. [NY Daily News]
