    Queens, NY – An Austria-bound jet with more than 214 people aboard returned to John F. Kennedy International Airport shortly after takeoff after the pilots reported smoke in the cabin.

    The Boeing 767 with 49,000.00 gallons of fuel, headed for Vienna, turned around, several minutes after taking off. The Austrian Airlines plane landed safely, and no one was hurt.
