Bnei Brak – Police were searching for a married couple from Bnei Brak who fled their home on Sunday with two of their children, abandoning their remaining four children at home, Israel Radio reported.

The children left at the Bnei Brak home ranged in age from five to eleven.
According to the report, the father telephoned his brother on Sunday evening, asking him to take the children he had left at home. The man’s brother subsequently complained to the police.
VIN News has been notified that the couple has been located in Teverya.
If this is true, they should immediately take away the other two children from this couple and put them both in jail until they are test for mental illness. In any event, their children should never be returned to them but put out for adoption by loving parents. Please spare us the usual “we don’t know all the facts” excuses for this disgusting behavior. Its just as bas as child abuse to leave such babies alone.
I wonder what these parents are going through, nebech, to have to leave behind their kids. Like in the Hansel and Gretel story. LOL
If you want to drive a car you need a permit and it is the same for all kinds of other things however unfortunatly you dont need a permut to make kids

The couple deserves to be charged for abandoning their children. At least the father had a tiny drop of sense to call his brother and ask him to take them and not leave them completely alone.
The wording in the article makes it seem as if the brother was annoyed with having to take care of his nephews and nieces, he “complained to the police.” If something like this, c”v, happened in my family I’d be happy to take the children in and would have called the police only because I was worried that something had happened to my brother, I wouldn’t have complained about him. Like I said, maybe it’s just the way the article was phrased, or maybe it’s the translation into English.
With the focus on the more dramatic topic of child abuse, little attention is paid to the far more common issue of child neglect which is also required to be reported under law.

i applaud the brother’s courage!!! a family memeber of mine did the same a few years a go leaving 5 kids under the age 11 when i got a call from her at the airport asking me if i can take some of her kids since she was on the plane already on her way to israel for lag baomer & didnt have time to make arrangements for her kids. i said NO (it was over a weekend & i had plans of my own) i then wanted to call child services but the family begged me not to. to this day i regret not calling!!!! if you want to go away on vacation or teveria or wherever you want before you book the hotel or make any plans MAKE SURE SOMEONE IS THERE FOR YOUR KIDS!!!! an 11 year old child is not capable of watching several siblings for any amount of time!!!

its so sad what goes on todays day. i had a classmate when they were young there parents once left them for 5 weeks without telling them wher,and without leaving them a penny. it wasnt in the headlines.
You people are so funny for not understanding that someone very weird happened here. The article doesn’t mention that they were careless parents. As you see they took along the two youngest ones and then arranged for someone in the family to take the others. This is not an everyday ordeal and obviously something must have happened and there was no time to think. Unless you’re gonna tell me that they were found vacationing in a hotel, then I'”l change my opinion. I personally know someone who had to run away in middle of the night from one second to the next, to avoid the mafia who were after him. He left all his kids!!! And called neighbors later to run over. As for the person that said his relative was flying for lag b’omer to israel, that’s a different story completely. But it sounds strange. Again. The couple might be at fault but we do not know. I feel bad for them as to what has caused it.
