New York – LG David Paterson has plunged into a long-running Orthodox Jewish feud by agreeing to accept a state leadership award at the United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg’s third annual legislative breakfast this Sunday.

The problem, as I understand it, is that te UJO and its president, Rabbi David Niederman, are allied with Zalmen Teitelbaum, who split with his eldset brother, Aron, over control of the Satmar Hasidic Jewish sect since their father, Grand Rebbe Moses Teitelbaum, died last April.

According to Isac, (you know which Isac I mean), Paterson had promised back in January to pay a visit to Aron Teitlebaum’s side, but has yet to make good on that. Once they saw the UJO invitation, members of that faction got a bit miffed. Paterson has pledged to show up soon to make amends, Isac said.

Also expected at The Imperial Hall event Sunday: Sen. Jeff Klein, who is scheduled to present Paterson’s award; Brooklyn Democratic Chair/Assemblyman Vito Lopez, who is on tap to receive the legislative leadership award; and William Rapfogel, CEO of the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty (and husband of Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver’s chief of staff, Judy), who is chairing the breakfast. They are not here to work with anyone, They want to be the only one Like their Rabbe is the only one!!! Not just the only Satmar The only one who is running Williamsburg of course also the one in Boro Park and the only one in Monroe. So a breakfast will not help them as long there is another breakfast. They were not happy even before when they realized that the Berech Moshe has more sons. When there were other Rabonim in evolved in Metziseh Bapeh. When there is some else in any picture. (Their rabbe was the only person in the Jewish history who was against the askonim for this and other duver shbikdushe) and they follow the holly foot steps. We only know one thing “HASHEM ECHOD.

at some point the politicians are going to realize the satmar is too much work, then they will get no perks. it’s how these things always go. easy come, easy go.

let them also make a breakfast, and honor whom ever they want.

why mix in in others events? and make a big chlel hashem in the process?

when leib glantz hosted an event a few weeks ago, did we even turn around?

Why can’t a politician accpet an award from an organization that has been representing the community for 41 years because some of the community have decided to open their own organization?

There were 4 U.S. Congressman, several State Assmblyman and State Senators as well as City Council members at the event, are they now also taking sides?

When will the bitter people stop releasing press releases that are irresponsible and damaging the communities connections with those who are in power?
A connecttion that we really need!
