Dozens of haredim arrived at the school while the girls were being dismissed from school in order to harass the students. Police arrested one demonstrator for disturbing the peace.

The school has been slammed by haredi residents of the neighborhood who are opposed to the school operating in the area.

Excuse me for my ignorance but what is the problem here? Why are they protesting this school? Divisions in Elul really don’t portend well for Klal Yisroel.

What a Chillul Hashem these Haredi are doing!! Throwing rocks calling 8-12 year old girls disgusting names. someone should take a bat and hit one of these eggheads. If it was my daughter that they did this too- I wouldnt hesitate. these animals are the downfall to Israel.

Why do people insist on calling them chareidim??? It doesn’t sound to me like they are choraid medvar hashem or anything else for that matter.

These same so-called chareidim probably insist that all women walk on the other side of the street and shop at different times, and they throw syrup on benches so c”v boys and girls don’t sit and have a chance to talk, but they’ve given themselves permission to be near adolescent school girls. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re pedophiles.

The other side of the story also is that the Beit Shemesh mayor, afraid of this fringe element promised to “work with them” to find a solution to their outlandish demands that girls grades 1-6 are “prutzos” and should be yelled at. He’s done nothing. So the rest of the community, including all the mainstream chareidim of Ramat Bet Shemesh Bet, are taking matters into their own hands. The meshugaim will not continue this for long as soon as they get a taste of their own medicine.

The other side of the story? You mean the part where children are having stones thrown at them as occured in my son’s school (and where a child was hurt) which is adjacent to the girls’ school? The part where little girls and their moms are being called whores & prostitutes? The part where our school had feces thrown at it and where these nut jobs showed up at 2:30 AM last week and were met by the police? The part where I’ve seen written in graffitti, “Death to the Zionists?” I’ve tried, really tried, to be calm but when our children are afraid to go to school to learn Torah, where grown men are saying that little girls ankles & wrists are a turn on, and where my husband has to stand outside to be part of a human shield so these little girls aren’t spat on, I can’t be calm. Just “google” Orot Banot in Beit Shemesh to see what’s been happening. Its amazing that these men, who have publicly stated that they’ll terrorize us for as long as it takes till we leave – though we’re won’t, have time for this criminal behavior while learning and being model fathers and husbands. Insanity ain’t even hald of what’s been happening!!!

I thought that if you ashamed a Jew in public, you have no share in Olam HaBa. Maybe these Resha’im found a Heter to vilify and break the hearts of young Jewish girls.
