St. Petersburg, Russia – A suspect in the murder of a Jewish yeshiva student was detained today. Charges are issued against him. Criminal proceedings were instituted against the detainee under the article for murder, the press service of the Petersburg Prosecutor’s Office said.
The investigators found out that “there is no evidence about ethnic or religious strife in the case,” the press service said.

Dmitry Nikulinsky, 22, who was a yeshiva student and a natural history teacher in the Jewish school and a student of Petersburg State University, was killed out of jealousy.
He died of knife wounds in the face and neck at the entrance of the apartment block, where he lived on Svetlanovsky Avenue, on May 12. as was reported here on Vos Iz Neias. No his belongings were stolen. [Itar-Tass]
