The resolution was approved Friday by a vote of 114-17 with 15 abstentions.

A left-leaning Latin America trade group opposed giving the seat to the opposition forces who ousted Moammar Gadhafi’s government.

A southern Africa regional bloc failed in an attempt to defer a vote.

I think that from now on we should refer to kadaphi as the rebel and the former rebels should be referred to as the lybian government.
