New York – Parts of Hudson Valley Under Tornado Watch

New York – Parts of the Hudson Valley are currently under a tornado watch until 6 p.m. this evening. The affected counties include: Orange, Ulster, Rockland, Dutchess, Westchester, Putman and Columbia.

Strong to locally severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening…as a cold front moves through the region.
The storm prediction center has placed the entire tri-state region in a slight risk for severe thunderstorms with locally damaging winds being the primary threat. Severe hail is also a possibility. [Record]
