New York, NY – A section of the new immigration-reform package that forces undocumented workers to return home every two years is an unenforceable “fraud,” Mayor Bloomberg contended yesterday.

But the mayor expressed support for other parts of the proposed Senate bill to remake the nation’s immigration laws, including a provision that would make it harder for overseas relatives to join families here.
“Nobody in their right mind is going to leave. It’s a fraud. It’s a feel-good kind of law, but it’s not practical,” the mayor declared on his weekly WABC radio show.
Any of you Bloomberg-Guilliani-Koch supporters know what the cost to NYC is of this human flood, granted save haven in our city by our great humanitarian mayors, (don’t worry the Feds will never be told you’re here), who didn’t stop there, but additionally ordered all living expenses including education and medical paid these illegals. (Don’t worry, the NYC treasury has billions of dollars, and no, forget about raises for teachers and police and firefighters, we have obligations that have to be met and we can’t “afford” raises for AMERICANS working in city jobs.)
I wonder if the cost were known, now and for the future (3rd world immigrants are mostly remaining in the dependent state 4, 5 generations later), would the Yeshiva world still have such unbridled enthusiasm for these
men who tied this millstone around the necks of the NYC taxpayer?
What would be left of the US Treasury, I also wonder, if all the world’s poor could manage to make it to US/Mexican border where 1 ride over and the American sucker, er, taxpayer picks up the tab for their livelihood, along with the whole brood (and the generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren). Unrealistic you say? We are the only country in the West who has not tightened it’s immigration laws and border security…. seems to make us the only attractive country for sneaking in and settling in.
Another Leftist policy, another Leftist success.
