Clinton called UNESCO’s actions inexplicable at a time when the Palestinian bid for U.N. recognition and membership was being examined by the Security Council, the global body’s top decision-making organ.
And she criticized the Palestinians for pursuing a policy that seeks recognition in any form instead of a return to negotiations with Israel.
Clinton stopped short of saying the U.S. could pull out of UNESCO as it did under President Ronald Reagan.
But she acknowledged the efforts of some U.S. lawmakers who are warning that UNESCO stands to lose millions of dollars in American funding if it agrees to admit Palestine as a member before a Mideast peace deal is reached.
Everybody gets the Millions and Billions no wonder our Economy is so BAD
Hillary should not be making her comments where in Jerusalem or any where else in our land we should build…………….
Terrible. The Obama administration is out to destroy Israel. First they stop Palestinian recognition in the anti-Security (for Jews) Council and now they threaten to pull out of and cutoff funding for UNESCO if they do anything to advance Palestinian recognition at the Unshowering Nations.
Yup, Obama must hate Israel, even dropped a couple of hundred million extra on them for Iron Dome.
If you guys are right about him being out to destroy Israel he sure is going about it a funny way.
Maybe Bibi needs to stick his finger in Obama’s eye a few more times with ‘settlement’ building approvals whenever the US has stuck its neck out a little further for Israel.
Nothing like biting the hand that feeds you (even if the hand is just a conduit for Gd’s blessings).
Obama doesn’t have to do anything to undermine American support for Israel. Bibi has that task under control, r”l.
