Gaza – Israeli traders will buy between 70,000 and 100,000 lulavs – palm tree fronds that are one of the Four Species of Sukkot – from Jordan. Another initiative – to buy 50,000 lulavs from Gaza traders who smuggled them into Gaza from Sinai – was vetoed by the Hamas terror group that rules over Gaza.

Egypt recently decided not to allow the sale of lulavs grown in Sinai to Israeli traders this year.
For many years, Israel has been importing about 700,000 lulavs from Sinai annually.
Very smart Egypt, cut your nose to spite your face.
And which idiot wanted to do business with Hamas? Please name names here. Those lulavim are soaked in Jewish blood.
Vee m’zugt af Aramish. …Gira b’eina d’sitna!
“Gaza traders who smuggled them into Gaza from Sinai”
Hmmm…how do you say “lulav hagazul …posul” (Sukkah 29b) in Arabic?
Buy Israeli lulavim!!!
This is a smart move…better to have arba minim form ANY source, even hamas, than to show in in shul without a lulav. Remember what we hear all the time, lulavim don’t kill, only terrorists kill.

Will someone please clarify something? Is there no place else in the world where Lulavs can be grown for use on Succot? There must be other friendly countries, whose climates can ensure the production of Lulavs.
kurdistan and iraq have good lulavim. the palm trees in Israel are mesepotamian palms from iraq, not the biblical palms of old. there is only one palestinian palm tree in existance and it is in the negev and was grown from seeds from masada, all others are extinct.
I got my lulav from Palm Springs the nicest one i’ve had in years!!!
And they insist there is a humanitarian crisis… Of course there is, if you turn down all opportunities for trade!
