Demonstrators marched Saturday from Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park, the group’s unofficial headquarters where protesters have been camped out for the last 22 days. The trek was peaceful and orderly.

On Wednesday, dozens were arrested when thousands marched on Wall Street in their biggest show of support yet. Last Saturday, 700 people were arrested after they spilled onto the roadway while crossing the Brooklyn Bridge.

Protesters are speaking out against corporate greed and the gap between the rich and poor. They say they have no leaders and are making decisions by consensus.

Supporters have donated food, clothing and medical supplies. Some drop off their offerings, while others have mailed them.

What do these people actually want? I mean, what do they expect someone to offer them that would appease them? Buncha loonies if you ask me!

Let these communists stay in the Village, where they belong.

I am a liberal minded American and I think that this occupy movement is a far fetch from a true political march. They should be protesting in the Nations Capitals and not in our economic thoroughfares where commerce takes place. This strikes me more as anarchy and I do not think I would ever hire any of these persons for any employment in the future.

Over 99% of these protestors are gentiles, since any Yid with a conscience would not have demonstrated on Yom Kippur.

These kids are desperate. They are in student loan debt up to their eyeballs (because that is how expensive good schooling costs these days) now they can’t find jobs to start paying the loans off. At which point the default rate of the loan shoots to 12%. The loans cannot be discharged in bankruptcy so their credit score is ruined for life. And every June a new crop of young people join the ranks of those seeking work. I am surprised it took the kids so long to come together and demonstrate. These kids played by the rules, did everything right just like they were told to do, and now their lives may be ruined before they can even get started.

    Hey #10 ,
You blame the system, but who governs? I started and own my own business with no college education or seed capital

Just got out of college with loans to their eye balls; maybe that is true but could they have worked when in college? I did: I had 2 part time jobs and graduate in the top 10 not 10% but top 10 people. When I was in college there were too many there just ot have a good time. If you parents can’t support you; you might have to work and learn. Funny thing I took many night courses and the ones who came at night were mostly part-timers and they were serious about their education not sleeping to noon and staying up half the night. Reality is you spend you pay and can’t demand it from somebody else. If people really want to work they can find something until things get better. You might not beable to have a 1 bedroom flat in Manhattan but you could find something until things get better

    … continuing

They also have better attitudes about their jobs, they certainly don’t think somebody owes them one. And the most amazing part, once you get past their accents, they speak and write better English than many of us! So it’s not the greed, it’s the desire to get better quality work.

For an anecdotal illustration of the point I am making, just browse the posts on this very web site. Look how many people have no idea of the differences between there and their, there’s and theirs, its and it’s. And the posters on this site by far not the worst educated or least intelligent group of people in America. Now, if any of them were to write a letter to you asking for a job, wouldn’t you have doubts?
