Washington – Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is charging the Obama administration has failed to undermine the Iranian regime, saying Tehran has been “waging war against us since 1979.”

The Georgia Republican tells CNN’s “State of the Union” he thinks President Barack Obama should have done more to reach out to ordinary Iranians when they protested against the regime. He was questioned about Iran in the wake of allegations that elements of the government supported an alleged plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States.
Gingrich says “our goal should be the replacement of the Iranian dictatorship.” Gingrich, who is struggling to get traction in the Republican presidential race, says, “At a strategic level, the United States is absolutely clueless about what we should be doing” with regard to Iran.
And Gingrich is such a success story, which is why he had to resign from the position of Speaker and his seat in Congress, right???

Gingrich is right. Obama is obstructing efforts to thwart Iran’s nuke ambitions.

He needs to just keep this mouth shut already & get off the tv. People were sick of him back in the 1990’s, and we’re still sick of his shenanigans now!
How anybody who was a complete failure as Speaker of the House, AND in Congress, AND is now on his THIRD marriage…. can talk about anybody *else*, is beyond the pale!
If I were him, and had done all of the things in his life that HE’S done… I think I’d just humbly be quiet & fade into obscurity, thank you very much!
Obama’s plan must be a failure because right-wing talk radio tells me so (not that they say exactly what it is, but facts have a known liberal bias). How about this great idea? Let’s bake a cake in the shape of a bible, go to Iran and sell them missiles. Oh, wait, Reagan already did that. Never mind, let’s go to Republican Plan B and start bombing. It’s worked so well in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. I’m sure we’ll eventually hit something nuclear-related. Sorry about all of the people who get maimed and killed in the meantime.
