WXII-TV reports (http://bit.ly/oJSQZW ) that Wilkes County sheriff’s deputies said officers noticed the can on Monday and were told that it had been there for several days.
The discovery prompted a call to the Winston-Salem bomb squad. It disposed of the can filled with gasoline that posed little danger.
Deputies weren’t immediately available for further comment.
Obama spoke to a crowd at West Wilkes High School as part of his tour through North Carolina and Virginia to promote his jobs bill. The gasoline can was found about a mile from the school.
There is obviously no news in North Carolina, when a forgotten abandoned gasoline can makes the headlines!
Personally I think Obama can & did much more damage than the can of gasoline can do.
The only way for you to feel better is to Listen a little less to rush limbaugh
This is typical Presidential security.
Probably much to do about nothing. Even though I am far from an Obama fan, protection of our President is extremely important and the Secret Service (with the cooperation of local authorities) does an excellent job.
