New York – legislation is under consideration in several States, for parents getting a birth certificate for stillborn babies

Among the states to consider them is New York. More than 25,000 pregnancies a year end in stillbirth, generally defined as a naturally occurring, unintentional intrauterine death after more than 20 weeks of gestation. A cause for the death is usually not determined.
To thousands of parents who have experienced stillbirth, getting a birth certificate is passionately important, albeit symbolic. It’s dignity and validation. [nytimes]
I see this as a choice issue. If a woman wants to choose a piece of paper, let her. The state can charge a fee, and it can even generate income. I dont see the point in denying all women’s choices. After all, they already give her a death certificate.
This makes perfect sense to me. The state already issues a death certificate, and parents have to bury the baby by law, says the article. How can you die- and be buried- if you never existed?
Another opportunity for fraud and identity theft….
And to Accablish What ????
To have a nother headace to get an Death Certificate??
Any Fee????
More Aggrevation!!!!!!!!
