Monticello, NY – Missing 12-Year-Old Boy Has Been Found

    12 yr old Ben Simontov MissingMonticello, NY Police, the Monticello Fire Department and Catskills Hatzolah are setting up a command post for a large search in an attempt to locate a missing 12 year old Monticello boy at the Hebrew Day School of Sullivan County located at 4718 Route 42 in Kiamesha Lake.

    Benyamin Simantov-Linkov, originally from Brooklyn, was last seen leaving his residence at 30 Landfield Avenue at 1 PM yesterday, October 22nd, following an argument with a family member. The missing youth was wearing a white shirt, black pants and black shoes at the time of his disappearance and is said to be 5’2 and weigh 140 pounds.

    A police official, who spoke to VIN News on condition of anonymity due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, said that at the moment foul play is not suspected.

    **UPDATE**
    VIN News has confirmed that the missing 12-year-old boy has been found sleeping in an empty house across his family’s residence, aprox. 35 hours after he went missing.

    Baruch hashem the article was updated to say that the police now report that there was no foul play so they obviously know what happened to this boy and it wasn’t somthing bad.

    If he left after an argument I would assume he ran off to a friend who hid him without telling his parents or some such, I’m sure they’ll find him soon.

    Obviously a troubled teen nebech. As you can see the parents waited a day before reporting him missing since they figured he’s playing lost after the argument. They knew he can be up to trouble! Hope someone guides them in the right direction.

    Gee people, why all the bickering. Just be happy that he is alive and well. Be grateful to all of those who were willing to give their time and resources to help find him.
