The Artist, Joshua Simon, see his work as 'an allegory for the Israeli political body - a dependent and mediated existence, self-perpetuated artificially and out of inertia, with open eyes that cannot see'. Sharon suffered a stroke in 2006 and has been in a coma ever since. Little has been disclosed about his condition.

“He opens his eyes and moves his fingers when I ask him to,” Gilad Sharon told Israeli media Tuesday from the U.S., where he is promoting a book about his father.

Traditionally a hard-liner, Sharon shocked Israelis in 2005 when he unilaterally pulled Israeli soldiers and settlers out of Gaza. He suffered the stroke a few months later.

Sharon, now 83, was known as a daring army officer who fought in three wars before entering politics. He was elected prime minister in 2001 and served until he was incapacitated.

Let his son ask him if PERES had anything to do with his present medical condition. He might be able to answer by moving his fingers. Many people from GUSH KATIF who’s lives were disrupted would want to know as well.

Baruch Hashem…may the Ebeshter continue to bring him to a full refuah shelamah. Sharon is a true gibor yisroel who had the courage to take the steps necessary in 2005 to begin the peace process. If only Israeli politicians today would have his backbone instead of caving in to the terrorists and releasing hundreds because they couldn’t resist political pressures created by the family of one soldier held in captivity.

Has my Rosh Yeshiva said a while ago, Sharon is not wanted in this world or olam haba, hence his current predicament, stuck in the half way house, neither here nor there, how terrible. May Hashem be Merachem on him
