Smoke was detected in the cabin of Israir flight 251 during landing at Berlin's Schoenefeld airport on Tuesday night Rosemarie Meichsner said, adding that the pilot had radioed for emergency assistance.
Germany's Federal Agency for Aircraft Accident Investigation said authorities had ruled out the possibility of a terror attack, following an investigation.
"Nothing happened," agency investigator Klaus Buettner said. "The smoke entered the cabin through the air conditioning and had developed in connection with the engine."
The passengers, including a baby, left the aircraft through emergency slides, she said. One woman was injured and taken to a hospital. [AP]
