Cain’s comments on CBS “Face the Nation” are at odds with previous statements in which he said he favored some exceptions to an abortion ban.

Cain says he’s “pro-life from conception, period.”

Asked whether that includes instances of rape, incest and life of the mother, Cain said, “Correct. That’s my position.”

In a 1998 interview with Nation’s Restaurant News, the former pizza executive described himself as “pro-life with exceptions, and people want you to be all or nothing.”

He muddied the waters by telling CNN recently that the government should not tell women what to do in cases of rape and incest.

I can’t put my finger on it but he looks strikingly similar to Obama. Does anyone else see this?

I’d rather him believe that, than to permit abortion flat out- at least he believes in something besides himself- like the big O

He also brought up that all too awkward background of Planned Parenthood, and the racial purity motives of its founder, Margaret Sanger. So it, along with such monstrosities as the Tuskegee Syphillis Monstrosity, gives some good basis why many folk with his educational and family upbringing (bluntly speaking, members of the Colored community), have lots of suspicions about it and similar aspects.

    – Kind of like how, in the Jewish community, we’re pretty familiar with the history of Henry Ford – much of which has been sanitized for decades.

Thanks…for those few who did not know what a mamash idiot this guy is, the interview is very helpful. I’m glad the media have stopped treating him with kid gloves because he was Black. I suspect within a few weeks,he will be polling in single digits and checking to see whether he get hid old job back at the pizza company.

With Hashem in the Universe, I am sure that the outcome of all births whether an abortion or a full birth serve his true Purpose. Trust in Hashem.

The only time it should be permitted is when the life (physical life, not emotional well-being or popularity in high school) of the mother is at stake. Then it’s a question of one life vs. another, and the more developed life should win.

This should happen as often as ball lightning. It’s a red herring.

I really don’t mean to be racial or disrespectful in any way because he is a successful businessman, but really! is this where our country is holding that Cain is leading the pack and may very well be our next president.

The game may be over soon. There are confirmed stories on several news sites tonight that Cain was accused of sexual harrassment in the 1990s when he was the head of a D.C. trade association and that these women were paid off by the trad group as part of a settlement to keep them quiet. Another Clarence Thomas case, but this time they have validated information regarding the “financial settlements” (aka payoffs). After Bill Clinton and the Monica L. stuff, we really don’t want another one of these buffoons who can’t keep his pants on or able to watch his mouth as President.

I respected much of what he had to say up until this.” exept when the life of the mother is at stake”…what stupidity.Who is he to say that the life of the mother is less important than that of the fetus/baby? What if she has other children etc?….don’t hink he thought through his comment well before he made it.He is really digging a hole for himself.

    #8 ,

Incorrect. The Torah is never more strict on Gentiles than Jews, lest they try to be more inclined to convert for the wrong reason. Any Gentile baby that will endanger the mother is allowed to be killed in utero.
I asked my rebbe about this and he felt that abortions for goyim should be legal until the fetus would be able to live by itself if it were removed.
Don&#8 217;t forget the gemara in the end of Sanhedrin that R Yehuda argued with Antoninus about whether the soul comes into being upon conception or birth and he changed his mind in agreement w Antoninus that it&#8 217;s at birth. Chazal also have a klal that any baby that hasnt breathed air isnt alive.

I think he`s bluffing trying to be more frum then biblical law?

I’m so sick and tired of men telling women what to do with their bodies. If you’re all so concerned with “saving life,” then I suggest you lobby for laws against wasting seed. In the Torah, Hashem killed Onun for this and there are numerous references in our holy books as to how bad it is. Doesn’t the Talmud state that someone who does this deserve death? Let’s make it so. That way, if you catch one of your male children in the act, you can have him put to death, the same as the woman forced to bear a child that will kill her.
