Budget Director Mark Page said the shut-offs – a power city officials have been reluctant to use – might be required, along with other stern measures, to force scofflaws to pay up. [nypost]
im ein kemach ein torah, the kemach goes along with the water a hot coffe,? is the city going to charge us for torah, isn’t this the world of bechira,? so to me for interfearing with my torah by charging me with everything around it in energy to study, the city is witholding my torah “religious discrimination”.
Why is DEP the most impossible company to work with?
The phone, gas and electric companies offer to set up realistic payment plans and stop charging exorbitant late fees as long as payments are coming as scheduled. DEP refuses to do anything aside from accept full payment.
Anyone have any suggestions to offer aside from simply ignoring the water bill?
I don’t know of any city where there isn’t a charge for water. If water should be free, how about natural gas, electricity and gasoline also being free?
People shouldn’t have to pay for water.
