Bloomberg said Wednesday that he believes the protest, now in its seventh week, is “really hurting small businesses and families.”

He says the city has worked hard to preserve the First Amendment rights of the Zuccotti Park protesters. But he’s very concerned about the rights of others in the area.

He says the city will take action if and when it’s appropriate.

His statements come a day after area politicians asked the city to enforce laws against excessive noise and public urination. The elected officials also said they sympathized with the protesters and considered it important their rights be protected.

As for Occupy Wall Street quagmire, most of those, who support this movement, possess at least a university degree from a first-tier university. In fact, the greater percentage of supporters and actual participants possess multiple advanced graduate degrees from very prestigious universities. The majority of American Jews and Jewish Americans fully support Occupy Wall Street. The movement is very similar to the Tent City Movement in Israel. In fact, the Israelis are supporting their brothers and sisters involved in the Occupy movement here in the U.S. and abroad. The few instances of anti-Semitism are isolated. If one wants to look for anti-Semitism in a predominantly Christian society, where it be the U.S., France, Russia, England, etc., you will find it. As for the small businesses, the Occupy supporters and participants are all taxpayers. The American taxpayer heavily subsidizes small businesses through low-interest loans (which do not have to be paid off for 30 yrs.), 30% tax returns on cost of vehicles, lavish expense accounts, tax returns on cost of healthcare, writing off mortgages as a business expense, writing off vacations abroad. The taxpayer pays for this.

I agree with #4 . There has been no substantiating data published, which would indicate that the majority of American Jews support the Occupy Wall Street protestors. #2 is making up his unfounded and unsubstantiated allegations. The protestors should be allowed to protest in Central Park. There, they will have plenty of space to camp out. However, they must be removed from lower Manhattan, as they are impacting businesses and the lives of people who live there. It took years for lower Manhattan to recover from 9/11/01, and now these characters are again making life difficult for the residents.

I, for one, fully support the OWS. This country has been hijacked by the super rich who have bought off most of the top politicians with their campaign contributions as well. There is no reason to have such obscene wealth of the likes of Trump, Bloomberg and Buffet. It can only cause jealousy and recrimination. What is the point of having so many millions and billions if the money is not put to good use??
I’m sure you can live pretty well with $5 million. Anything after that, should be taxed at the same rate as it was in the 1950’s. Close to 90%. That was the time in America when we had the largest percentage of the middle class versus the rich and the poor. And who was president at the time? Eisenhower, a Republican.
