Rockland County, NY – Fewer than 10,000 utility customers in southeastern New York remain without power nearly a week after a freak October snow storm knocked out electricity service to more than 300,000 homes and businesses in the state.

The four utilities working to restore power report about 9,500 outages Friday morning.
Orange and Rockland Utilities says it still has 5,500 customers without power in the two New York counties, while NYSEG (nye-sehg) reports about 3,200 customers without electricity, most of them in Westchester and Putnam counties.
Central Hudson has less than 200 outages, mostly in Dutchess County, while Con Ed reports 550 in Westchester.
Orange and Rockland says some customers might not get their power restored until late Sunday night
What a disgrace, a week after the storm and still 10,000 without power. We gotta sue them.
