    North Miami Beach, FL – In Light of a recent shooting in North Miami Beach That promoted residents and community activity’s to ask for more police protection as we reported here, Mayor Carlos Alvarez Met last week Friday With Community Representative on this issue.

    According to Jewish community leaders that attended the meeting, this is what they informed us at VIN

    The meeting was the first between the mayor and Jewish leaders from North Miami Beach, Everyone Left the Meeting Optimistic that Working Together Will Result In Solutions.
    The meeting was very cordial and the Mayor seemed to understand our concerns and need for being safe and feeling safe. He had concrete suggestions and asked his Chief of Staff, Denis Morales, to immediately speak to the people in the appropriate departments to set the wheels in motion to help achieve our joint goals of greater safety for our community.

    The Mayor seemed appreciative that our community is willing to be a partner in finding solutions. The Mayor suggested that we meet again in three months to be sure we are making progress.

    From our community Mark Goldstein, Isaac Jaroslawicz,Yehuda Kaplon, Chaim Meisels, Rabbi Shapiro and Alan Sakowitz participated. Major Mark Jeter, Chief Randy Heller and Assistant Director Niam Erched all participated from the Miami-Dade Police Department. [vin]

    yes there is a civilian patrol its called something like nmb shmira and apparetly this guy sakawitz is trying his best to do away with them , even though he has called on them numerous times- he is the reason no one is buying there bec he scares potential buyers with his scaremail

    the sollution is to set up more donut shops because when i was there for vaction the place is flooded with pd we just have to manuver them to the right spots.

    I haerd that at the intersection of sheidan and 41th av is a safe place to be, i’am writing about the new kosher dunkin donuts and baskin robins that just opened a month ago it’s frequent by numerus pd as well by inzere.
