New York – Lawmakers Considering Tougher Penalties for Drunken Drivers

New York – Lawmakers in Albany will soon be considering new legislation on drunk drivings sponsored by Long Island State Sen. Charles Fuschillo.

"I've introduced legislation that will create the offense of aggrivated vehicular manslaughter and aggrivated vehicular assault," Fuschillo said today.

The new legislation would mean more jail time for drunk drivers who kill or injure someone.  It would also make it easier to get DWI murder convictions. [1010WINS]
