State Assemblyman Dov Hikind, state Sen. Eric Adams and civil rights attorney Normal Siegal all plan to join local New Yorkers at the march, which starts at 12:30 p.m.

The march begins at Ocean Parkway and Avenue J and ends at Ocean Parkway and Kings Highway.

Despite the unity, residents remain angry and afraid of copycats.

“We’re afraid that it might give other people more ideas. I’m always worried about it,” one resident said. “My son sometimes comes home early in the morning. Who knows what they would do to him because he’s Jewish.”

So tragic & terrible. I am heartened to see the Brooklyn community coming together to stand for Unity at a time like this.

There are still good people in the world after all…

Bloomberg’s pronouncements are nothing new. The exact same words were used by former Mayor John V. Lindsay, during the 1968-1969 winter, when dozens of Shuls were torched and vandalized. In other 40 years, nothing much has changed. I’m afraid that the march will be composed mostly of Yidden, as other groups, unfortunately, could care less.

Do you know how much homes cost on J and Ocean Parkway? The average car there cost half the price of a house where I live!!!
Chevra, on the yartzeit of Reb Shlomo, I implore you to leave Flatbush and move out of town. It is all one galus. Only in some places it is more bearable than in others.
I grew up in the hood and moved out of town and so can you.

    I have questions
1.Who would have thought that here in America we are also in galus?

    2. Who would have thought that a group of yiden would forget our place

3.how come in Europe early 1900s when we times were worse the gedolei olam never made marches

I don’t have an answer to the first two questions but I have an answer to the last one

Because our strength is not in protests marches or battles

Even when we did have a great army and a fortified city we still lost
We were put in galus through hashem
And only he will take us out

Did anybody thought that the recent NY9 election is the cause of this antisemitic incident? 2 months ago the whole media everybody was busy that the Jewish community in Brooklyn sent a strong message to Washington that Obama is not so “Pro Israel”.
Why did we forget at time that we are in galus?? Why didn’t we come out and say No! we didn’t sent messages to Washington, we just wanted send a message – as per the Rabbanim – to immortality!.

I myself don’t think marching does any good but let’s not compare the U.S. with Europe in terms of protesting. People didn’t march in Europe b/c the Gentiles, police and civilian, would have cracked them upside the head.

I dont think, that midwood incident was a hate crime, i beleive that was operated by local mafia, and Dov hakin know more then others who they are, and they just using the naive community to walk and show off- its a shame
