His presidential campaign, once considered a vanity project designed to sell copies of his new book, continues to chug along the tracks, refusing to be derailed by scandal or the lack of a well-organized staff.

Cain has a lead in a handful of national polls over the heavily favored Mitt Romney — and some political observers believe a once-unthinkable path to the Republican nomination could emerge for the charismatic former pizza CEO.

“No one believed he’d get as far as he has and yet he’s still in this thing,” said Charles Bullock, a political scientist at the University of Georgia, Cain’s home state. “A lot of voters see him as being authentic and a straight-talker,” added Bullock. “He’s not a politician, and that’s a strength right now.”

Oh PLEASE let Hermain Cain be the GOP pick for the 2012 election! (lol)

That will guarantee that President Obama will win a 2nd term!

There is no way that Cain will receive the Republican nomination. He will probably be number two in the amount of delegates, but he will not be number one.

He is a misfit for the office of the U.S. Presidency when compared to Dwight D. Eisenhower, President Bush 1, President Reagan and even Nixon

To #4 - Whereas Eisenhower may have been the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe during World War Two, he was chosen for that position, because of his ability to bring people together, as he had the ability to deal with the most abrasive and stubborn personalities. However, he was a luckluster President. He refused to take a stand on civil rights legislation, even after sending Federal troops to Little Rock in 1957. Further, he had the power to commute the death sentences of the Rosenbergs in 1953, but again, he was afraid to take a stand on that issue. In 1957, he ordered the Israelis to get their troops out of the Sinai. It was over ten years later, following the Six Day War, that Eisenhower finally admitted that he made a mistake in 1957. Finally, he had the power to order the bombing of the rail lines leading to Auschvitz, and other concentration camps. Again, he took (in his mind) the least controversial position, and did nothing.

Herman Cain is NOT going to be the nominee, much less the next president – take it from me. The way its going though, Obama is going to get a second term and the republicans have themselves to blame….

With the state of our country today, considering how much worse off we are since (n)obama took office, anyone that would even consider voting for his reelection needs to have their head examined. but then again it’s well known how irrational and senseless liberal/dems are.

The Republicans have only one chance and one way to defeat Mr. Obama in 2012 and that is Jon Huntsman. Afterall, many of the democrats like him!!!!! What more could you ask for? If you like Romney, switch to Hunstman; at least he has a platform and is intelligent.
But the GOP does funny things… They want a leader who can infuriate the entire left wing of the nation as well as bury the poor in more debt. So no Huntsman for now.
