A Hasidic man was attacked in Williamsburg and cars were burned in Midwood on Friday. Both brash, anti-Semitic acts require more cops, City Councilman Stephen Levin (D-Brooklyn) and Assemblyman Joseph Lentol (D-Brooklyn) said, while standing alongside Satmar rabbis near the mugging site.

“The Jewish community has to be protected now,” Lentol said. “We see a pattern going on. Whatever it takes. I think that the mayor of the city of New York and the police commissioner should understand that this is going to require not only police presence here, but in every Jewish community.”

“They are not going to help us. They are only out here for the votes,” said Rabbi Nauchem Rosenberg, before other Hasidic men threatened to hit him if he didn’t stop shouting.

Herr Bloomberg is too busy using the NYPD to look after the Wall Street protestors in Zukatti Park rather than using the NYPD to protect it’s citizens.

Maybe Yidden should start acting like men instead of having others defend them.

All we need to do to get the city’s attention, is to re-introduce the old style chaptzems. Instead of calling shomrim, let’s handle it like our parents did 30 years ago.

Shomrim is now a puppet organization of the NYPD, (I am not blaming them, but that is the reality) and we need to act as if shomrim doesn’t exist any longer, and we should protect ourselves the same way the Williamsburg residents protected themselves not too long ago. Let’s give theses bums a taste of there own behavior, and these types of incidents will quickly subside.

The incident in Williamsburg is definitely anti-Semitic. Among goyim, Haredi men have the appearance of not being macho, but pale-faced, bespectacled Jews who won’t fight back but run away. They certainly don’t look like tough guys, Giborim, but nebechs like Woody Allen.

In the past there was a patrolman on every corner during the yomim tovim but recently there was not an officer in sight anywhere in Wmsbg! This, after they made a big show of promising, with Dov Hikind, in front of the cameras, that there will be increased police presence during the High Holidays.
Anybody from Shomrim or whoever coordinates these things, care to comment?

Years ago, the NYCPD used to have “the Rabbi’s Patrol”, whereby undercover cops would disguise themselves as Chassidim, acting as decoys for muggers. In those days, the muggers received the biggest surprise of their lives, when their intended victims drew a .38 special on them. In those days, the cops didn’t use automatics, but .38 revolvers. Also, there was another unit called The Stakeout Squad. Undercover cops used to hide out in the back of stores which were prime targets for holdups. Once a holdup commenced, the cops would identify themselves and order the perps to drop their weapons. More often than not, there was a shootout, with the perps winding up dead. Unfortunately, for political reasons, the stakeout squad was abandoned, because nearly all of the dead perps were members of minority groups.
