A defective paint was used inside water tanks on as many as 50 ships owned by Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line and other companies in 2004, according to the Sunday Times of London.

The paint, manufactured by Danish-based company Hempel, was capable of leaching the toxin acrylonitrile — a tumor-causing probable carcinogen — into the water, the paper said.

Last night a spokeswoman for Norwegian Cruise Line said: “The drinking water on Norwegian Star and Norwegian Dawn has always been and remains safe.”

I would urge everyone, including children and even babies to have their vitamin D levels checked. Ask your local doctor about it, and if you are low (which I guarantee you will be) please spread the word.

You can google what sort of illnesses ch’vsh low levels can cause, including cancer, heart. and bone problems.
