At Israel’s parliament Monday, Avigdor Lieberman said, “Talk about Jordan as a Palestinian state damages Israel.” He praised the neighboring country as a “stabilizing element in the region.”

Palestinians make up about half of Jordan’s population. A fringe minority of Israelis believe a Palestinian state should be founded there. A Lieberman spokesman said he has never said Jordan should be the Palestinian state.

Palestinians are demanding the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem for their future state.

Jordan signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1994. Jordanian officials have expressed concern from time to time over statements by Israeli extremists advocating expulsion of Palestinians to Jordan and creation of a Palestinian state there.

Jordan is Palestine. Jordan was called Palestine before it was named Trans-Jordan and in fact, approximately around 80% of its population are of Palestinian origin.
Why do they now demand and feel they deserve TWO states, one Jordan and another carved out of Israel, is anyone’s guess.
Let them rename Jordan to Palestine, exactly the way it was not that long ago.
