Protesters represented by the National Lawyers Guild asked the court Tuesday to declare that the city acted illegally in evicting hundreds of demonstrators from Zuccotti Park.
The eviction happened around 1 a.m. Hundreds of officers in riot gear pushed demonstrators out of the park and hauled away their tents and sleeping bags.
The city says it intends to enforce rules prohibiting camping in the park.
There was no immediate ruling by Judge Michael Stallman, but he said he hoped to make a decision later in the afternoon.
I’d be surprised if a judge here in NYC will have the guts to rule correctly.. i think they’re all a bunch of liberal losers who will take the side of the lowlife anarchists…
Can soneone explain please…. If judge rules that they can go back there, that means they can stay there forever?….. ruin a neighborhood….. and disrupt businesses…. and thousands of people who work in the are?
The judge has to rule on what is legal to do in a private park that is surrounded by public property.
Look at the rage of the protestor in the photo. Looks like a Raging Granny.
