Australia – President Barack Obama’s spokesman is suggesting the president believes it’s up to New York and other municipalities to decide how much force to use in dealing with Occupy Wall Street demonstrations.

Spokesman Jay Carney also says Obama hopes the right balance can be reached between protecting freedom of assembly and speech with the need to uphold order and safeguard public health and safety.
Carney was asked whether Obama had been following the police raid on Zuccotti Park in New York, where Occupy Wall Street protesters have camped out for weeks.
Carney said the president was “aware of it.”
He said the administration’s position is that each municipality has to make its own decisions about how to handle these issues.
I look forward to the day when the you know what hits the fan and we find clear connection back to Obama and his merry group of community agitators. Oh it will be glorious!
No leadership!
NOW he wants each city to act on it’s own? What about giving each PERSON OR STATE a choice about acting on THEIR OWN? Sounds like he’s opting for choice, as in health care!
Yes, every city must decide on how to respond to their protesters in the movement…
And let’s just hope that doesn’t involve pepper spraying 84 year old women anymore, or bashing in the skulls in of Iraqi war veterans.
Thanks!
It took him too long to learn how to avoid rushing to judgement. Next time let’s elect an adult to the presidency.
