Thousands of protesters took to the streets around the U.S. on Thursday to mark two months since the movement’s birth.

One of the largest demonstrations was in New York, where at least 1,000 demonstrators tried to clog up streets around the stock exchange.

Some protesters were bloodied during arrests. Police said an officer suffered a cut on his left hand after a demonstrator threw a piece of glass. He may need stitches.

Five other officers were treated after being hit in the face with stinging liquid.

I saw a cop beat a guy in the head, one drag a woman by her hair, and another cop some of the most disgusting things at women…. I can’t even repeat them here on VIN!

And all of this, after hoses have been used on people, pepper spray has been used on an 84 year old woman, and an Iraqi war veteran got his skull bashed in!

    Welcome to the new America!

To #1 - “Ms. Sherry the Noahide”- Your posting was not factual; you conveniently did not state which law enforcement agency you saw using “hoses”. The New York City Police Department, in its nearly 200 year history has never used fire hoses on crowds. Secondly, some of those other incidents which you mentioned did not occur, because of late, the NYCPD stopped using pepper spray. If you observe this video, you will see how restrained they are, in spite of glass and acid, being thrown at them.

These protesters are Communists who want everything for free from the goverment. They have cost the NYC taxpayer enough because of all the police overtime (millions of $$$$). As a NYC taxpayer I want these protesters stopped now! Free speech is costing this city too much money. These throw-backs from the hippies of the 60’s have disrupted this city too much. They should go to the white house to protest and get out of NYC. How many of these protesters are from out of state? Get rid of these outside agitators. Bloomberg will have to ticket Boro Park overtime to make up for all the police overtime.
