New York, NY – Two Business Owners Start An Anti-Occupiers Movement

    20

Brothers Derek (L) and John Tabacco (C) argue with a protestor during a day of action by the Occupy Wall Street movement in the area near the New York Stock Exchange and Wall Street in New York, New York, USA, on 17 November 2011. They call themselves the Wall Street Freedom Fighters and made their presence known, along with a small group of fellow anti-OWSers, at the protests on Thursday. The Tabaccos held neon green signs that read “Occupy A Desk” and “Get A Job,” catching the attention of all media outlets. EPANew York, NY – For the two months that Occupy Wall Street has been in existence, there hasn’t been any real opposition to the movement. Sure, the Tea Party has been planted on the opposite side of the spectrum, and there are plenty of people wishing the protesters would just go away on message boards and in cyberspace. But it’s taken the work of Derek and John Tabacco — two area small business owners — to actually manifest the opposition physically.

I spent 17 dollars and got a bumper magnet for my vehicle that reads: “No thanks Occupy; With Prudence Trust Billows”. Works for me. Gave one away and still have 4 more.

I hope they are careful because we all know how “peaceful” these protestors really are.
They should be matzliach and Hashem should watch over them.

I don’t care about these two guys in the slightest, but before the cavalry marches in here to praise them to high heaven, just ask yourself if all it takes these days to get a desk job is to want one. I got a resume from someone this afternoon who’s been out of work since June 2009. Eminently qualified, if anything overqualified. Credentialed to the hilt and probably with the debt to prove it.

If you don’t have any examples like that on your own, just walk into the middle of your shul and throw a rock. You’re bound to hit someone who can’t find a job.

In 1970, the longshoremen held a massive demonstration in NYC, to counter similar protestors, who were disrupting the peace and tranquility of NYC. Why can’t the longshoremen help out this time?
