The project is the result of an agreement between the Parks Department and Boymelgreen, who used the 3-acre park as a staging area for construction equipment while building the Novo Park Slope luxury condominiums on Fourth Ave.
The J.J. Byrne Memorial Park will undergo a $1.6 million renovation beginning Monday that will include two new basketball courts, eight handball courts, a dog run and a skate park. [nydailynews]
